The coordination challenge that Ketra addresses affects every interior: the disconnect between the fixed quality of a designed fixture and the dynamic quality of the natural light it supplements or replaces. A dimmer can reduce intensity, but it cannot shift color temperature. Natural Light Technology
Ketra’s Natural Light system is not a simple color-temperature schedule. The platform models the spectral and intensity characteristics of natural daylight across geographic latitude and seasonal variation, and translates that model into a continuous, imperceptible light quality evolution that runs in the background of the space. At dawn, the system produces the low-intensity, warm, slightly amber quality of early morning light. Through midday, it shifts toward higher color temperatures and greater intensity. As evening approaches, it transitions back through warm, lower-intensity states that support the body’s natural production of sleep-regulating hormones.
The Vibrancy dimension of Ketra’s platform adds a further layer of nuance: the ability to shift the saturation and color point of light in ways that animate a space, support artwork presentation, or create specific experiential conditions for hospitality environments.
