The Restrepo Process

How we work with St. Croix clients.

Discovery begins with a consultation at no cost. Restrepo engineers gather information about the property. its age, construction type, existing infrastructure, and the scope of the project. For historic Christiansted properties, early assessment of the existing conduit and wiring infrastructure is essential before design can begin. For new East End construction, engagement at the design phase allows rough-in decisions to be made correctly the first time. Island Media Systems participates from the first visit, providing the St. Croix-specific context that an off-island engineer alone cannot supply.

Installation is managed with the specific logistical conditions of St. Croix in mind. Island Media Systems coordinates with your general contractor and the project schedule. Restrepo provides the complete documentation set that Island Media Systems executes on site. For historic retrofits, phased installation approaches may be required to work within the architectural constraints of older properties. Commissioning and client training are completed jointly, with remote management documentation delivered at handover.

After handover, Island Media Systems provides local service response and Restrepo provides remote engineering support from Franklin Lakes, NJ. For St. Croix clients who also work with Restrepo on their Northeast primary residence, both systems are managed by the same engineering team. Most programming changes and remote adjustments are handled without a site visit, keeping service costs low and response times short.
