Screen Innovations manufactures projection screens and display systems engineered for architectural integration. from zero-edge indoor motorized screens to outdoor ambient-light-rejecting displays built for four-season exterior use. This course covers SI’s product architecture, installation requirements, and the structural and electrical rough-ins that must be coordinated at the design phase. Co-presented with Ryan Gustafson of Screen Innovations and Restrepo Innovations.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this course, attendees will be able to:
- Identify the Screen Innovations product families. motorized indoor, fixed-frame, and outdoor ambient-light-rejecting. and explain the appropriate application for each in luxury residential and hospitality environments.
- Specify structural backing, motorized housing dimensions, and power requirements for SI screen rough-ins at the CD phase.
- Evaluate ambient light rejection technology and explain how gain, viewing cone, and material choice affect image quality in various room and outdoor lighting conditions.
- Coordinate screen installation with millwork, finish ceiling details, and projector placement to achieve a tight integration in the finished space.
